A tool for managing user identities, credentials, and access across on-premises and cloud environments
Start the redemption from the Microsoft Rewards website in the PC’s browser—the Bing app cannot create the six-digit verification flow by itself.
Correct device sequence
- On the PC, open rewards.microsoft.com and sign in to the personal Microsoft account containing your Rewards points.
- Select the gift card and begin redeeming it.
- At the verification screen, choose Verify with the Bing app.
- The Rewards webpage should display a QR code.
- On the phone, open Bing, sign in with the same Microsoft account, and scan the QR code.
- Enter the resulting six-digit verification code, select Verify, and then return to the original redemption page on the PC. This option appears only when redemption begins in a web browser; it does not appear when redemption begins inside Bing. It also is not available for Auto-redeem rewards.^1^
Do not look for a permanent code in the Bing app—the PC Rewards redemption page must initiate this verification session.
If the PC still shows no QR code or code
Since the expected prompt is missing:
- Try the Rewards redemption page in another browser or a private/incognito window.
- Temporarily disable any VPN or proxy.
- If it still fails, submit the form at Microsoft Rewards Support. That team must check account-specific redemption problems.^1^
If the redemption has already completed, open Rewards Order History, locate the gift card, and select Order Details to obtain its code or link. Microsoft/Xbox gift cards may instead be deposited directly into the Microsoft account balance.^2^
