I already have an office 365 subscription, on my home computer, but my company offers a 30% discount for it. How do I add the discount to my reoccurring subscription?

    Hello

The 30% discount will NOT be applied to the existing subscription, but if you purchase, it will extend the duration and the extended portion will have the discount applied.

Here is how to get the discount:

    Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/workplace-discount-program

Enter your work email address to verify your eligibility.

Microsoft will send a verification link to your work email. Click that link.

Sign in using the same personal Microsoft account associated with your existing Microsoft 365 subscription.

Follow the instructions to purchase Microsoft 365 Personal or Family at the discounted rate.

Important: Keep recurring billing turned on.

Purchase Microsoft 365 through your employer’s Workplace Discount Program using the same personal Microsoft account linked to your current subscription; the discounted rate will begin on your existing subscription’s annual renewal date.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Switch between Microsoft 365 subscriptions")

    Steps

    1. Open the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program.
    2. Enter your company email address to verify that you qualify for the offer.
    3. Select the discounted Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription offered by your employer.
    4. During purchase, sign in with the personal Microsoft account currently associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription—not necessarily your company account.
    5. Complete the purchase.

Microsoft adds the purchased time to your existing subscription. Your current term remains available, and the discounted rate starts at its annual renewal date; you do not need to reinstall the Office applications.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Switch between Microsoft 365 subscriptions")

If the offer does not attach

    • Check which personal Microsoft account owns the subscription under the Microsoft account Subscriptions page, then repeat the discounted purchase with that account.
    • If the subscription was purchased through Apple, Google, or another retailer, it must be managed or switched through that provider rather than directly through Microsoft.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Switch between Microsoft 365 subscriptions")
    • If eligibility succeeds but purchasing fails, use the Contact Support option in Microsoft Support for purchase assistance.

The Workplace Discount Program is specifically intended to let employees of participating organizations buy Microsoft 365 products at a discounted price.^2^
