Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
- Check whether the charges are tied to a Microsoft account that has recurring billing enabled:
- Go to Services & subscriptions
- Review any active subscriptions and the subscription end date
- Also review order history for matching charges
- If the charge is not recognized, investigate it from the Microsoft account dashboard:
- Go to Manage your payments
- Select Investigate
- Common reasons for unexpected Microsoft charges include:
- A subscription with recurring billing enabled
- A family member or someone else using the same card
- A previously declined charge being retried
- In-app, pre-order, or split-order charges
- If nothing appears in account history, the card may be being used on a different Microsoft account. In that case, contact the card issuer or bank immediately and report the card as compromised to prevent more charges.
- To contact Microsoft Support:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support
- Enter the problem and select Get Help
- If needed, select Contact Support to reach the best support option
