Welcome to Microsoft Q&A
Hello @haq I hope you are doing great.
The symptoms you described suggest that microphone redirection is not reaching the Azure Virtual Desktop session, since Windows inside the session reports "No input devices found" and only Remote Audio appears in Device Manager.
I recommend checking the following:
Client settings
- If you're using the Windows App or Remote Desktop client, make sure Microphone redirection is enabled in the connection settings before connecting.
Host Pool RDP Properties
- In Azure Portal → **Azure Virtual Desktop** → **Host Pool** → **RDP Properties**.
- Verify that device redirection settings do not disable audio capture. In particular, ensure audio recording/microphone redirection is allowed.
**Group Policy**
- On the session host, check:
- **Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Remote Desktop Services → Remote Desktop Session Host → Device and Resource Redirection**
- Ensure **"Do not allow audio recording redirection"** is **Disabled** or **Not Configured**.
**Session Host verification**
- Test with another user and device if possible.
- Verify that the local microphone is working outside the AVD session.
**Teams optimization**
- If the issue is primarily affecting Microsoft Teams, verify that Teams media optimization is configured correctly for Azure Virtual Desktop.
Could you let us know:
- Which client you're using (Windows App, Remote Desktop client, or web client)?
- Is the session host Microsoft Entra joined or domain joined?
- Does the microphone work locally on the endpoint device?
