I have tried to sync and re-start - same issues. At least 3 notes are missing out of 25 notes...is it possble to restore from a backup somewhere ?? I cannot see the "Deleted" notes when I access the quicknotes so it has not been deleted.....

    Hello Anne Kroll,

This may happen if the OneNote app did not finish syncing before or after the iPhone update. Here are some suggestions you can try:

    1. Open OneNote for the web in a browser and sign in with the same Microsoft account used in the iPhone app. Open the notebook and check the Quick Notes section, Deleted Notes, and any other sections.
    2. Search using a word or phrase you remember from each missing note. Also check whether another Microsoft account appears under your profile picture in OneNote.
    3. Sign in to OneDrive, open My files > Documents, and look for the notebook there. If found, open it in OneNote for the web.
    4. If you use OneNote on another phone, tablet, or computer, please check the same notebook there while signed in with the same Microsoft account. If the missing notes appear, copy them to a new section or save their contents before allowing the device to sync further.

If the notes are also missing online and on another device, I am afraid they may not have finished syncing before the iPhone was updated. In that case, the available recovery options may be very limited.

Please let me know how it goes.
