Update (Oct 23): Issue 1 is still open. The app (Store ID 9P2FT1Q6VNDQ, "Durupin PDF Translator") still does not appear in Microsoft Store search results when searching for its exact name on apps.microsoft.com in the Korean (hl=ko-KR&gl=KR) and US (hl=en-US&gl=US) markets; only unrelated apps are shown on the first page (checked Oct 23). The product page opens normally from the direct link (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P2FT1Q6VNDQ). Visibility settings (checked Oct 23): Public audience, "Make this product available and discoverable in the Microsoft Store", and "Discoverable in the Microsoft Store through searching and browsing".

We also found that our listing keywords had been empty since an update on Oct 19. They are restored in an update that is now in certification, but because even the exact product name is not found, we believe the product is missing from the search index.

We still cannot open a Store developer support case: aka.ms/storedevsupport (Engage Center) shows "You don't have access", and selecting the only available workspace ("Support for Business") keeps loading for more than 40 seconds in both Chrome and Edge. Partner Center Help + support does not list an "Apps and games" workspace. A Partner support request (2610200010000398) filed on Oct 20 has not yet received a response from Microsoft.

Could a moderator or Microsoft staff member route this to the Microsoft Store team to check the search index for this product?

Update (Oct 20): Issue 2 is resolved. Our market setting was "All worldwide markets", and the deselected market was still listed in the default price group. After switching to "Restrict to specific markets" with the same exclusions and publishing an update, the app is no longer purchasable in that market. Issue 1 (the app does not appear in Store search) is still open.

Hello,

We published a paid desktop app (MSIX) to the Microsoft Store. It passed certification and is live. It was first published a few days ago, and an update was published yesterday.

Issue 1 - Search: The app does not appear in Microsoft Store search results, even when searching for its exact name, in both the Store app and apps.microsoft.com. The product page opens normally from the direct link. In Partner Center the product is set to "Make this product available and discoverable in the Microsoft Store" with a public audience.

Issue 2 - Market: In Partner Center (Pricing and availability > Markets), China is not selected. However, the product page on apps.microsoft.com for the China region shows a price and a free trial button.

Questions:

  1. How long can Store search indexing take for a newly published app, and is there anything we should check or change?
  2. How can we make sure the app is not offered in a market we have deselected?
  3. The "Contact Support" link in Partner Center opens Engage Center, which stays on a loading screen after sign-in (tried on two different days). Is there another way to open a developer support request for Store listing issues?

Thank you.
