Hello,

My Microsoft 365 Personal subscription was renewed automatically today, and I was charged Rp135,999. I cancelled the subscription within approximately 20 minutes of the renewal, but I was not offered a refund option.

Since the charge was very recent and I cancelled immediately after noticing it, I would like to request a refund for this renewal payment.

Please review my account and advise whether a refund can be processed.

Thank you for your assistance.

This is a public forum, so for your privacy and security, we can’t help with billing issues here. Also, no one in this forum has access to your account or payment information.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

To request a refund after canceling, sign in with the same Microsoft account that purchased the subscription, go to Services & subscriptions, find the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, select Manage > Cancel. Refund eligibility is determined automatically during cancellation, and not all cancellations result in a refund.

For Microsoft subscriptions, a refund of the most recent recurring billing charge is available if the subscription is canceled within 30 days after payment. This refund right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.

If no refund option appeared during cancellation, use Microsoft support:

    1. Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
    2. Enter the problem and select Get Help.
    3. If more help is needed, select Contact Support to reach the best support option.

Also verify these points if the cancel/refund flow did not behave as expected:

    1. Confirm the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft. If it was bought through Google Play, Apple App Store, or a third-party retailer, cancellation and refunds must be handled by that seller.
    2. Confirm the correct Microsoft personal account was used.
    3. If Turn on recurring billing is shown, the subscription is already set to expire and no further cancellation action is needed.
    4. If there is an overdue balance, cancellation may be blocked until the amount due is paid.

If the cancellation has already been processed and a refund is approved, one similar support case notes refunds typically take 3 to 5 business days to return to the original payment method.
