Upgrading MS365 to Family Account

Hello -

I had purchased an individual MS365 account through a third party (bestbuy) and would like to upgrade to a MS Family account and purchase directly through Microsoft. At this point, I don't care that I will lose money on the remaining subscription months through Best Buy, but when I go to purchase through Microsoft it gives me an error code and will not let me purchase the family subscription.

I cannot get anyone from MS on the phone to help. The chat feature is unhelpful as well.

    Can you tell me what is the exact error code or error message you receive when you try to buy Microsoft 365 Family?

    If you can, copy the full message, including any code such as ConversionBlockedSyndicated, 0xXXX, or a correlation ID. This will help me identify what is really happening.
