The process to switch from the Microsoft Family subscription is provided on the link below.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/switch-between-microsoft-365-subscriptions

Basically you need to disable the recurring billing on your current subscription by going to your account on this link (https://account.microsoft.com/services/) click Manage on the subscription and from there you can disable that.

Then, when your subscription expires, you then need to take out a new subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/microsoft-365/p/microsoft-365-personal/cfq7ttc0k5bf

Provided you use the exact same Microsoft 365 account for the new subscription, you will still have access to all your files and the same 1TB of OneDrive storage.

To change from Microsoft 365 Family to Microsoft 365 Personal, switch to a plan with fewer features.

    1. Sign in to Subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Find the current Microsoft 365 Family subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel subscription.
    4. On the Cancel page, choose the option to switch to a plan with fewer features.
    5. Follow the prompts to complete the change.

    Important details:

    • The current Family subscription continues until it expires.
    • The new Personal plan usually takes effect at renewal, not immediately.
    • The new plan is not charged until it renews into that plan.
    • After switching from Family to Personal, subscription sharing is no longer available.
    • There is no need to reinstall the desktop apps when switching between Microsoft 365 home subscriptions other than from Basic.
    • A Microsoft account can have only one active Microsoft 365 subscription.
    • Renewing early does not lose unused time; the expiration date is extended.
