For a home Microsoft 365 subscription, use one of these checks:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account subscriptions page: account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy Microsoft 365.
      • If a subscription is active, it appears there.
      • If Manage, Cancel, or Change payment appears, the subscription is billed by Microsoft.
      • If those options are missing or limited, the subscription may be managed by a third party such as Apple, Google, or a retailer.
    2. In Windows 11:
      • Select Start.
      • Select the account picture.
      • The Microsoft 365 subscription licensed for that account is shown there.
    3. In an Office app such as Word or Excel:
      • Open the app.
      • Go to File > Account.
      • Check Product Information to see whether the account has Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or another product.
    4. On Microsoft365.com:
      • If the account shows a Subscribed badge, a Microsoft 365 subscription is associated with the account.
      • If it shows Free, there is no active Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Premium, or Pro subscription on that account.

If the subscription was bought through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer, billing and subscription management must be done with that provider.

The steps depend on whether you use a personal or home account or a business, school, or organization account.

For personal or home subscriptions, open a web browser and go to the Microsoft Account Services & Subscriptions page at https://account.microsoft.com/services. Sign in with the Microsoft account email address and password associated with your Office products. Under Services & Subscriptions, you can see your active plan name, such as Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, or Family, along with its status and expiration or renewal date. On Windows 11, you can also click Start and select your account picture to view account and subscription details.

For business, school, or organization subscriptions, end users can go to Office.com and sign in with their work or school account. Click your profile initials or picture in the top-right corner and select View account. Scroll to the Subscriptions or License assigned to you section to see the specific plan assigned to you, such as Microsoft 365 E3, E5, or Business Standard.

If you are a Global Administrator or Billing Administrator, go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. In the Simplified view, select Subscriptions. In the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products. There you can review active licenses, product names, and billing statuses.
