Hi there

my old laptop died and I have replaced it. I need to use MS office (word, excel, etc) as before, but I cannot recall my product key. Please assist me?

If Office was not pre-installed on your old laptop, when you first installed and activated Office that licence should have become associated to your Microsoft Account as a digital licence online and it is from there that you can re-install Office without the need for a product key:

If Office was already redeemed before, the product key is no longer needed to reinstall or activate it.

    1. Sign in to the Services & subscriptions page with the Microsoft account that was originally used to buy or activate Office: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. If the Office product appears there, install it from that page.
    3. After installation, open Word or Excel and sign in with that same Microsoft account to activate Office.

If a setup page says This product key has already been used, that is expected for a previously redeemed key. In that case, use the Microsoft account instead of the key.

If Office prompts for a product key, sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the license instead of entering a key.

If the product does not appear in the Microsoft account, and the product key was lost or damaged, Microsoft support may be able to help if there is valid proof of purchase: Contact Microsoft support
