A specific functionality or enhancement provided by Windows Copilot
Try these steps in order:
- Repair or reset the Copilot app.
- Open Settings > Installed apps > Copilot > Advanced options.
- Select Repair first.
- If it still crashes, go back and select Reset.
- Check the Windows Push Notifications service.
- Press Windows + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter. - Find Windows Push Notifications System Service.
- Open Properties.
- Set Startup type to Automatic.
- If the service is stopped or paused, start it.
- Press Windows + R, type
- Repair Windows system files.
- Open Command Prompt as administrator.
- Run:
sfc /scannow DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - Restart the PC after both commands finish.
- Try launching Copilot Vision again after the restart.
For Copilot Vision connection failures, these checks are also relevant:
- Temporarily disable any VPN or proxy.
- Test in an InPrivate Edge window with Ctrl + Shift + N.
- Try a different network such as another Wi-Fi connection or a mobile hotspot.
Based on the documented Copilot crash case, a notification platform failure can cause Copilot to terminate during launch. If the app still crashes within a few seconds after the steps above, use Get Help in Windows or contact Microsoft Support for deeper investigation.
