    Hi Rajesh Sortur,

Since Windows is asking you to set up your PIN again, the issue may be related to the account used to sign in rather than the laptop itself.

If you cannot access the account because the recovery codes are not arriving, use Microsoft's account recovery process as suggested by AI answer and check whether you have any alternate recovery email addresses or phone numbers associated with the account. If the Yahoo email address is also inaccessible, any previously configured recovery method may help restore access.

If no sign-in method works, you can try Startup Repair or System Restore from the Windows Recovery Environment to see if Windows can recover the sign-in configuration.

Should the account recovery process continue to fail, it would be best to contact Microsoft Support for further guidance on available account recovery options.

    Try this in order:

    1. On the Windows sign-in screen, look for Sign-in options.
      • If Password is available, use the Microsoft account password instead of the PIN.
      • After signing in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > PIN (Windows Hello) and select I forgot my PIN or set up a new PIN.
    2. If the Microsoft account password is not working, recover the Microsoft account first.
      • Use Recover your account and enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used for sign-in: Recover your account
      • Check that the email domain is correct, such as .com vs .co.uk, and try any other alias or phone number that may be on the account.
    3. If verification codes are not arriving:
      • If the password is known but only some security info is inaccessible, sign in to Advanced security options, add a new way to receive codes, verify it, then remove the old one.
      • If access to all security info is lost, start sign-in, and at Verify your identity select I don't have any of these. Follow the steps to replace the security info. After replacement, there is a 30-day wait before sign-in is allowed.
      • If the password is also forgotten and there is no access to any security info, submit the account recovery form: Recover account
    4. If the account is a Yahoo address used as the Microsoft account sign-in, the Windows sign-in problem is still handled through Microsoft account recovery for that sign-in address. If Yahoo itself is not accessible, use any alternate verification method already on the Microsoft account, or the recovery form above.
    5. If the laptop says the PIN is unavailable and no other sign-in option works, Windows recovery may help:
      • Enter Windows Recovery Environment and try Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
      • If available, also try Advanced options > System Restore.
    6. If the account may have been compromised, first run a full malware scan before changing the password:
      • Open Windows Security
      • Go to Virus and threat protection
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
      • Then change or reset the password.
    7. If self-service recovery still fails, use Microsoft support:
      • Contact support
      • Support can route the issue, but support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.

    Important:

    • The Windows PIN is different from the Microsoft account password.
    • Do not change all security info at the same time, or the account may be restricted for 30 days.
