Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Previously stored Excel sheets are often not missing from Excel itself. Excel shows recent files, but the files are usually stored either on the device or in OneDrive.
Try these checks:
- Confirm the correct Microsoft account is signed in. Files may be under a different Microsoft account than the one currently being used.
- Check OneDrive online directly.
Look in these areas:
- My files
- Recycle bin
- Shared
- Photos
- Personal Vault
- If the files were saved only on the PC and not in OneDrive, open Excel and go to File > Open and browse to the folder where the files were originally saved.
- If Excel is showing a subscription or access problem, refresh the Office sign-in:
- In Excel, go to File > Account > Update License
- Sign in again
- If the files still do not appear, check whether Office is updated:
- File > Account > Update Options > Update Now
For Microsoft account help, use Sign-in helper. If technical support is needed, use Contact Microsoft Support.
Do not post personal information such as phone numbers in public support forums.
