have an active Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Word Online works correctly, but Word for Mac Version 16.77 shows "Not Activated" and gives activation error 0x0. Microsoft AutoUpdate reports update errors. My Mac is a Mid-2015 MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey 12.7.6, and the current Microsoft 365 installer says it requires macOS 14.0 or later. I need a Microsoft 365 installer compatible with macOS Monterey or a resolution for the activation issue.

If your version of MacOS is Monterey, if you are unable to upgrade your MacOS to a newer compatible version, the last version of Office that will work on MacOS Monterey is 16.88, that is available on the long table on this link to all the downloadable versions from the Microsoft servers.

The current version of Office needs to be uninstalled before installing that version of Office using the steps on this link.
