We have several (hundreds) of clients that make use of the Outlook Notes integrated app. We are aware that the clients can use the separate app Sticky Notes (which appear to sync with the Outlook Folder (for now), or they could move to OneNote (many have). However, the people that still utilize the Notes in Outlook still prefer not needing to run a separate app for something so easy to use. In New Outlook we cannot add the Notes folder to the sidebar, nor is there a Microsoft Addin that will perform this task.

We are aware that the Folder is still out there and that Notes can be used by navigating to the folder. I ask, since it is really only a shortcut to the folder, the folder still requires and uses the special "Notes" form (IPM.stickynote), why was it removed as an option to begin with?

    Hello QUINN, CHRISTOPHER

To make it clear, currently, based on what I checked, there is no public Microsoft roadmap confirming that the "Notes" button will be fully restored in New Outlook. Additionally, the latest New Outlook release notes also do not mention bringing Notes back as a standalone module.

I can see that other users in this thread have raised the same concern as you.

where can I add a note in the new outlook

However, If you would like to see this functionality return in the future, you can submit feedback through the Feedback Portal - Ideas · Community. While there is no guarantee that a feature will be added or changed, user feedback helps the Microsoft product team understand customer needs and priorities.
