    Hi,:Remove a payment method:

    1. Go to Microsoft Payment Options and sign in.
    2. Find the card or payment method you want to remove.
    3. Select Remove next to the payment method.
    4. Select Remove again to confirm.

If Remove is not available, the payment method may be linked to an active Microsoft subscription or have a pending payment. You may need to change the payment method for that subscription first at https://account.microsoft.com/services/365/manage

To add a payment method to your Microsoft account:

    • Go to Microsoft payment methods and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Select Add a payment method.
    • Choose the payment method you want to add, such as credit/debit card or another available option.
    • Enter the required payment details and billing address.
    • Select Save.

The new payment method will then appear under Payment methods and can be used for eligible Microsoft purchases and subscriptions.

For a Microsoft 365 subscription, replace the payment method in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    1. Go to the admin center.
      • If using Simplified view, select Products > View payment methods.
      • If using Dashboard view, go to Bills & payments > Payment methods.
    2. Select the More actions button (three dots) for the current payment method.
    3. Select Replace.
    4. In the Replace payment method wizard, choose one of these options under Choose payment method to move subscriptions:
      • Use another payment method if a safe replacement payment method is already on the account.
      • Add a payment method to add a new one.
    5. Review the details, then select Replace payment method.

    Important details:

    • Replacing a payment method does not delete the old one. The old payment method can still remain available for other subscriptions or billing profiles.
    • If only the card details need updating, the name, billing address, or expiration date can be edited, but the card number cannot be changed. If the account number changed because of fraud, replace the payment method instead of editing it.
    • For personal Microsoft subscriptions, add or change the payment method from Services & subscriptions.
    • If removal of the old payment option shows a message to contact support, there may be a past-due balance on the subscription.
    • If PayPal is involved, Microsoft states the PayPal account must have a credit card or confirmed bank account as its funding source.

If the subscription is already past due:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Find the past-due subscription and select Pay now.
    3. Update or add the new payment method.
    4. Select Next to complete payment.
