I seem to be paying for 2 or 3 subscriptions to Microsoft 365. I only need one and would like to cancel the right ones.

I am having difficulty getting to the other subscriptions because I no longer use certain emails and no longer have the paswords.

HELP.

Hello, good day and happy to help. I understand that you are looking into cancelling your Microsoft 365 subscription.

As you mentioned that you do not have access or having a hard time access related accounts, do you also meant that you are unable to login to the Microsoft account as well or only from the email account is associated to it?

Use this path to reduce the subscriptions to one:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Subscriptions page and sign in with each Microsoft personal account that might have been used for purchase: Manage subscriptions.
    2. For each account, check whether Microsoft 365 appears and whether it shows Manage, Cancel, or Change payment.
      • If those options appear, that subscription is billed by Microsoft.
      • If management options are limited or missing, it may be managed by a third party such as Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer.
    3. Keep the one subscription that is actually needed.
    4. For any extra Microsoft-billed subscription, select Manage > Cancel subscription.
    5. If Cancel subscription is not shown but Turn on recurring billing is shown, that subscription is already set to expire on the date displayed and no further action is required.

For the subscriptions tied to old email addresses or passwords:

    • Each subscription is linked to a specific Microsoft account.
    • If a charge is not recognized or access to the account is no longer available, use the Manage your payments page to investigate the charge.
    • If the extra subscription cannot be accessed or cancelled directly, contact Microsoft Support through Get Help and then Contact Support.

    Important points:

    • If the subscription was bought through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer, cancellation and billing changes must be handled with that provider directly.
    • Microsoft cannot cancel, refund, or modify billing for third-party purchases.
    • If switching to a plan with fewer features instead of cancelling, the current subscription must be cancelled first and the replacement plan purchased. The old subscription remains active until it expires.
    • If cancelling Microsoft 365, storage drops back to 5 GB of cloud storage and 15 GB of Outlook.com storage. If usage is above the free allowance, review storage before cancelling.
    • If still being charged after cancelling, one common reason is cancelling too close to the billing date. Cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date.
