    Hello armando hernandez,

I understand you paid on the 3rd but couldn’t use Office on the 24th because it asked you to pay again. I wouldn’t make another payment until you’ve checked whether this is a subscription notice or a second charge.

Please sign in with the account you used to pay and check Services & subscriptions to see whether your Microsoft 365 subscription shows as active. Then compare your Microsoft order history with your bank statement: did a second payment actually go through, or is Office only asking you to pay?

Could you also share the exact wording of the message Office shows on the 24th? Please don’t post your card details or account information. That message, together with the subscription status, should help distinguish a billing issue from an Office activation notice.

If your bank statement shows a second completed charge that you cannot match to your order history, use Microsoft’s billing charge investigation guide.

This can happen for a few supported reasons:

    1. A previous payment was retried If Microsoft could not collect a payment earlier, for example because of insufficient funds, it may retry later. That can make two charges appear close together even though they are not for two different months.
    2. Recurring billing is active An unexpected charge can come from a subscription with recurring billing turned on.
    3. Another Microsoft account is using the same card If only one charge appears in one account’s order history, another Microsoft account, such as a family member’s, might also be using the same payment method.
    4. The subscription may have a payment problem If payment is declined or there is a subscription payment issue, Microsoft 365 can show an account notice and eventually go into reduced functionality mode. In that state, documents can still be opened and printed, but editing and creating new documents is blocked.

    To check what is happening:

    1. Sign in and review the order history for multiple purchases or charges close together.
    2. Go to Payment options and select Investigate to check whether another account is using the same card.
    3. Check Services & subscriptions to confirm the subscription status and end date.
    4. If a payment failed or the card expired, update the payment method and resolve the subscription payment issue.

If the app stopped working on the 24th and is asking for payment again before the next month, that strongly matches a subscription payment problem or a retried/extra charge investigation scenario, not normal monthly use.

If the charges still do not match the order history after those checks, use Contact Support from Microsoft Support.
