To add a Bluetooth keyboard in Windows 11:
- Turn on the keyboard.
- Put the keyboard into pairing mode. On many keyboards, this means pressing and holding the pairing button for 5–7 seconds until the light starts blinking.
- On the PC, open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Select Add device > Bluetooth.
- Select the keyboard from the list, then finish any on-screen prompts.
- Select Done when pairing completes.
If the keyboard does not appear or will not connect:
- In Settings > Bluetooth & devices, confirm Bluetooth is on.
- Keep the keyboard close to the PC during setup.
- Check that the keyboard has power. If the pairing light does not blink, check or replace the batteries.
- Remove the keyboard from the Bluetooth device list if it already appears there, then pair it again.
- Turn Airplane mode on for 10–15 seconds, then turn it off and try again.
- Turn off other Bluetooth devices connected to the PC, because too many connected devices can interfere.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app.
If Windows asks for a PIN:
- Check the keyboard documentation or the keyboard itself for the PIN.
- Try
0000or1234. - If there is no place to enter a PIN on the PC screen, type
0000on the Bluetooth keyboard and press Enter.
If the keyboard light flashes three times and then turns off, it may already be paired to another PC nearby. Remove it from that other PC first, then pair it again with the new computer.
