Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi, @Peter Sorensen
Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the country and currency where it was originally purchased. Because of that, the system won’t let you extend the subscription or set up auto-billing using a payment method from your new country.
What you can do instead is cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire (or you can cancel it early if possible). Once it’s fully expired, you can purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your correct country and billing information.
Since you’re only in Spain temporarily, do not change your Microsoft account or billing region just to make the payment.
For now, you can use the free Office apps on the web at https://www.microsoft365.com/ and deal with the subscription once you’re back home.
You could also cancel the subscription and subscribe again later using the correct US billing information, but any outstanding balance may still need to be settled first.
