A complete reinstallation of Office 365 worked. All other recommended fixes failed.

    Hi, @Colin Parker

May I know what troubleshooting steps have you already taken? This will help me avoid recommending them again.

Also, to help narrow this down:

    1. Where are you attempting to install OneDrive from: the Microsoft Store, Microsoft’s OneDrive download page, or somewhere else?
    2. Is OneDrive completely missing from File Explorer, and is there no OneDrive cloud icon on the taskbar near the clock?
    3. What exactly happens when you try to install it? If you get an error message or code, please share it.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

Try these Windows steps in order:

    1. Install all available Windows updates.
      • Open Start, type updates, and select Check for updates.
      • Install everything available.
    2. Update the OneDrive installer manually.
      • Press Windows + R.
      • Enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\update and select OK.
      • Double-click OneDriveSetup.exe.
    3. If the install issue happens while setting up folder backup, check the local Group Policy setting.
      • Open Start, type gpedit.msc, and open Local Group Policy Editor.
      • Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop.
      • Open Prohibit User from manually redirecting Profile Folders.
      • Set it to Not Configured and select OK.
      • If this setting is enforced by an organization, the local change will be overwritten.
    4. If OneDrive is already partially installed or corrupted, reinstall it.
      • Open Start, type Programs, and select Add or remove programs.
      • Find Microsoft OneDrive under Apps & features.
      • Select Uninstall.
      • Reinstall OneDrive using the Microsoft OneDrive app installer.
      • Reinstalling resets OneDrive settings and triggers a full sync, but files already stored in OneDrive are not lost.
    5. Before reinstalling, repairing Office can also help with OneDrive for work or school sync app issues.
    6. If the issue still is not resolved, use Microsoft support or the Microsoft Community.
