I have purchased 4 x product keys, yet when I enter the product key it is asking me to enter payment method. I do not need to do this, but it won't let me skip this step

Microsoft 365 and Office | Install, redeem, activate | For home | Windows

Your screen shot indicates that you purchased a subscription. You will usually be asked for credit card information and you can't skip that step. (This applies especially if you purchased directly from Microsoft.)

What you can do, at a later stage, is turn off recurring billing to prevent the subscription from being renewed automatically.

    Hi Peter,

When registering the product key, did you turn on the auto renewal by any chance? If so, then its normal since if you turn on auto renewal, you will be given additional 3 months, thus, a payment method is required that will be used later on for the auto renewal.

Otherwise, please provide a screenshot of the prompt for asking payment method for my reference.
