I have a current account with Microsoft 365 and an older account with Office and older programs. They have different email addresses connected to them.
My cloud on the older account is full and I have been trying to link these files from the cloud to the 1TB od secure storage on my Microsoft 365 account.
Nothing which I have tried has been helpful. I am getting desperate for a solution as I may lose the files on the cloud which are above my storage limit.
There must be a way of transferring these files to the 365 secure storage.
Please help me.

Hello Ian Crellin,
I understand the urgency, especially since the older OneDrive account is already over its storage limit.
The storage assigned to one Microsoft account is not automatically shared with another account. Instead, you will need to copy the files from the older OneDrive account to the Microsoft 365 account that has the 1 TB storage allowance.
A safe method is:
If there are too many files to transfer through a browser, you can use the OneDrive desktop app to sync the older account to the computer first, make sure the required files are fully downloaded, and then upload or copy them into the OneDrive folder connected to the Microsoft 365 account.
Please keep a separate local backup until you have verified that the complete transfer finished successfully. Because the older account is over quota, avoid delaying the transfer unnecessarily.
I hope this helps you move the files safely.
Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
