Being added to the Microsoft family group does not always mean the Microsoft 365 benefit has already been shared. On the subscription owner’s account, open Services & subscriptions > Sharing and check your daughter’s status.
- If Start sharing appears beside her name, select it to assign the subscription benefit.
- If she already appears under people you are sharing with, ask her to sign in to Services & subscriptions using the same Microsoft account and confirm that Microsoft 365 Family is listed there.
If Family is listed online but Office still displays the expired subscription, open Word or Excel, select File > Account, sign out of the old account session, close all Office apps, and sign back in with the account that received the Family benefit.
