If Outlook on iPhone keeps prompting to sign in to Gmail, use these steps:

    1. Update Outlook for iOS to the latest version. Recurring password prompts can happen after security standards change.
    2. Remove the Gmail account from Outlook for iOS, then add it again:
      • Open Outlook for iOS
      • Go to Settings > Accounts
      • Select the Gmail account and remove it
      • Add the account again
    3. If adding Gmail manually, make sure Gmail is set up with IMAP in Outlook mobile.
    4. In Gmail, enable IMAP in Gmail settings. Outlook Mobile requires IMAP to work with Gmail.
    5. If the prompts continue, contact the Gmail service provider for account-specific sign-in issues, because Gmail is a non-Microsoft account.

    Hello Cecilia Iris Guido-Spano Amoretti,

I think there may be some confusion between the apps here. You do not need to install the Microsoft 365 app instead.

Please reinstall Microsoft Outlook from the App Store. When you open Outlook, it may automatically detect an existing email account. If it shows the Gmail account you do not want to use, select Skip, then enter only the email address you want to use with Outlook.

If the Gmail sign-in prompt still appears after doing that, tell me at which point it appears and we can narrow down what is triggering it.
