Thank you for responding. I tried to do that in my iPhone but there are no options for settings. It takes me directly to outlook messages and pop-up prompt to sign to my Gmail account. I did it on my PC, but the Gmail account does not appear there.

Forgive, but I am not very good at these issues. I had removed the outlook app in my iPhone. Now I went to the Apple app icon and looked for microsoft outlook. Two appeared one took me to my outlook mail which has not updated since August 31, 2026, and the other open a message.
When I open outlook in my phone there are no options for setting, file, etc.
I subscribe to microsoft 365. I wonder if I should delete outlook in my phone and install microsoft 365? There are so many problems trying to use other software that is not apple software for Apple devices.

I think there may be some confusion between the apps here. You do not need to install the Microsoft 365 app instead.

Please reinstall Microsoft Outlook from the App Store. When you open Outlook, it may automatically detect an existing email account. If it shows the Gmail account you do not want to use, select Skip, then enter only the email address you want to use with Outlook.

If the Gmail sign-in prompt still appears after doing that, tell me at which point it appears and we can narrow down what is triggering it.
