I pay Microsoft a monthly fee of $4.63 for support when I need it. I have spoken with a live service support person in the past and need similar support now with several questions on Outlook, connecting my Surface PC to an external monitor, etc.

For live help, use Microsoft Support and request chat or a callback:

1. Open Get Help on the web or Get Help in Windows.
2. Describe the problem.
3. If self-help does not solve it, select Contact Support.
4. For subscription or Microsoft 365 help, choose Microsoft 365 and Office.
5. Choose the category that best matches the issue, such as Manage My Subscription or Technical Support.
6. Select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a call back.

For Surface-specific help, open the Surface app, describe the problem, and select Get Help.

If the issue is signing in to a Microsoft account, start with the sign-in helper.

If using a work or school account, contact the organization’s IT helpdesk or admin for technical assistance.
