Sticky Notes on my android phone will not sign in and synch yet with windows it works

It appears there was an update to OneNote as my Sticky Notes used to work. Now I cannot sign in from my android phone and get the following error message- 9hehw. However, I can sign in and synch with my windows devices. The "sticky notes" now are also in Outlook. I want to be able to access my sticky notes and synch them . There are times when I don't have access to the cloud version so having them on my phone is necessary.

As an alternative is there a way to download my previous Sticky Notes in the cloud to my android phone. However, I still need the synch process to still work.

    Hello Pete,

    Error 9hehw is currently being reported by other OneNote for Android users as well. Windows and web access continue working in those cases, while reinstalling OneNote, clearing its data, and trying older app versions have not provided a reliable fix.

    Avoid further resets or clearing app data if any notes may exist only on the phone.

    For now, verify your notes through OneNote on Windows or the web, and check whether they remain accessible through the Android Notebook List. There does not appear to be a supported way to download the full cloud Sticky Notes database to Android as an offline replacement for synchronization.

    Hello @Pete

    Since Sticky Notes still sync correctly on Windows, your existing cloud notes are probably intact. Don't uninstall OneNote or clear its app data yet, because unsynced Android notes exist only locally and could be lost.

    On Android, update OneNote from Google Play first. Then check OneNote → profile picture → Settings → Primary Sticky Notes account and make sure the same Microsoft account used for your Windows Sticky Notes is selected.

    You can also verify the cloud copy independently by signing into Outlook.com or OneNote on the web with the same account; Microsoft states that the OneNote feed can display Sticky Notes associated with that account.

    If the Android app still returns 9hehw while the same account and notes work on Windows/web, that points more toward an Android OneNote authentication/sync issue than missing Sticky Notes. In that case, report the exact 9hehw error through OneNote's feedback/support channel rather than deleting the cloud notes or resetting the working Windows installation.

    There isn't a supported method to download the cloud Sticky Notes database directly into Android as a replacement for synchronization. The intended Android access is through OneNote using the same Microsoft account.
