My office license shows deactivated and i am having lifetime membership .for it .

logged in with correct admin details

why is this happening ?

Hello.

Can you go to one of the office apps such as Word, Excel, go to files > accounts. Tell me the exact name of the Office product. For example, is it office home 2024, or Office pro plus, or Office standard, etc.

Also if you don’t mind, how did you purchase this license? Directly from Microsoft or third party?

The error you see is that the product has been deactivated.

The product is most likely a corporate account assigned to you.

The person was assigned the email address fr299 @ proplus365.site

Proplus365.site has its domain registered on 5th May 2026 .

A few possibilities -

If you work for the company proplus365.site , and has a license assigned to you, someone stopped the M365 subscription. Their MX record no longer points to Microsoft. Best to talk to your company admin.

If you are a retail end user, and purchased what was promised to be a highly discounted Microsoft office (perpetual or otherwise), then you likely have been given a subscription license that has now been deactivated. Best to contact the source who sold it to you. If they are not contactable, there is some chance you have been sold a dubious license.

The date of domain registration of proplus365.site is worth noting. A trial copy of Microsoft365 will run 30 days with an additional 30 days grace period. So if the company signed up for a trial license some time after 5th May, it may indeed be possible for this license to be a trial, and hence expired.

One of the common reasons why this is happening is due to a faulty subscription license.

There are a few ways to check -

If your Office is a 365 variant eg Microsoft365, Office365 etc it is a subscription license with a monthly or annual renewal. If it was sold to you as a perpetual license then you may need to contact your seller and seek clarification. Perpetual licenses have the product release year attached to them and not 365. Eg Office 2024, Office 2021, Office 2019..etc.
If you purchased your license from a online seller at a highly discounted rate (eg 50%, 70% cheaper than Microsoft's published prices), then it is very likely the license is dubious, for example a school or corporate admin sharing with you a unused license and making some money on the side. Once the institution audits and takes back the license, you get a deactivation. Microsoft resellers make single digit % margins and are unable to offer such high discounts.
In case your license turns out to be problematic, also beware if licenses with the words LTSC sold to retail buyers. These are corporate licenses that are sold in volume to corporate accounts and are not sold to retail buyers.

If you do end up with a dubious license, then the recourse is to purchase official licenses from a Microsoft authorized reseller or from Microsoft's genuine online store.
