To do on macOS: No spacing between task panel and task count

I think the image shows it all. This is an issue I have for more than a year now in macOS. Every time I delete the local files in ~/Library/Caches/, ~/Library/Containers/ and ~/Library/Group Containers/, the issue is resolved until I close the app and restart it again. Then it looks like the above again.

    Hi, gernophil

The screenshot shows the task count pressed against the panel edge. Since clearing the local data fixes it only until the next launch, this is most likely a saved layout bug in the macOS app, not an account or task-sync problem.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Update Microsoft To Do from the Mac App Store. The current release includes general bug fixes, so install any available update and restart the Mac.

Open To Do, make the window noticeably wider, then drag the divider between the sidebar and task panel back and forth. Close the app while the window is still wider, then reopen it. This may force the layout measurements to be saved again.

If the spacing returns, avoid repeatedly deleting all Microsoft folders. That only resets the damaged layout temporarily and may also remove preferences or require another sign-in.

Report it as a reproducible display bug. In To Do, use Help > Copy Session and User ID, then submit feedback with the screenshot, macOS version, To Do version, and the note that restarting immediately recreates the problem. The in-app support channel is the recommended route for To Do issues.

Until it is corrected, the To Do web version is the safest workaround.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
