Are those accounts showing under Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, or are they appearing when you sign in to Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Teams, or Office?

If they are listed under Access work or school, go to:

Settings > Accounts > Access work or school
Select the old employer account and click Disconnect.
Restart your PC.

If they are only appearing in Office, Outlook, or Teams, please let me know where you see them and, if possible, share a screenshot (with any personal information hidden). That will help determine the correct steps.

To remove old work or school sign-ins (former employers) from a Windows PC and Microsoft 365 apps, remove those accounts from Windows and from any apps where they are still signed in.

Remove work or school accounts from Windows
- Select Start > Settings > Accounts.
- For personal Microsoft accounts: go to Email & accounts.
- For work or school accounts: go to Access work or school.
- Select the old work account (for example, the Illuminology or Sunshine account).
- Choose Disconnect or Remove and confirm.
Remove accounts from Microsoft 365 / Office apps
- Open any Office app (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Go to File > Account.
- Under User Information or Connected Services, select the old work account and choose Sign out or Remove.
- Close and reopen the app, then sign in only with the desired personal account.
Remove accounts from Teams (if applicable)
- On Windows, open Microsoft Teams.
- Select the profile picture, then Sign out.
- If the account is still present on the device, follow the Windows steps above (Settings > Accounts > Access work or school) and remove it.

If the accounts belong to organizations that still list the user as a member, and they are work/school tenants, the organization’s IT admin may also need to remove or disable the account on their side. For a complete removal of a work or school account from an organization, contact that organization’s IT administrator.
