Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
In new Outlook for Windows, only the working hours can be highlighted (non‑working hours greyed out); they cannot be completely hidden so that only 7:30 AM–4:30 PM are shown. The calendar views (Day, Work Week, Week, Month) always display the full day, with your work hours visually distinguished but not removed.
To adjust what is possible in new Outlook:
- Go to Calendar.
- Open View > Calendar settings.
- Under Work hours and location, set your work days and work hours (for example, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM).
This will grey out non‑working hours and use them in scheduling logic, but there is no option in new Outlook to hide non‑working hours entirely. The product currently does not expose a setting to limit the visible time range to only working hours.
