    Hi Jet Li,

I understand how frustrating it is when you can’t sign in to Minecraft and keep getting error codes like 0x80048820 / 0x80048823. Have you already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions? In addition, can you check:

    • Can you sign in successfully on this page? https://account.microsoft.com
    • Does the error happen:
      • Only in Minecraft?
      • Or also in apps like Microsoft Store / Xbox app?
    • Did this start suddenly (today/recently) or after multiple sign‑in attempts?

In the meantime, please try the following:

    1, Wait and try again

    • If you tried signing in many times, Microsoft may temporarily block attempts
    • Waiting a few hours can resolve it automatically

    2, Check date & time

    • Go to “Settings” > “Time & language” > “Date & time”
    • Turn on “Set time automatically”
    • Incorrect time can break sign‑in authentication

    3, Check your network

    • Try a different network (mobile hotspot if possible)
    • Unstable connection can cause these errors

Error codes 0x80048820 and 0x80048823 indicate a Microsoft account sign-in problem rather than a Minecraft-specific issue. Use these steps to fix it on Windows 11:

    1. Confirm the account works in a browser
      • Open a browser and sign in at any Microsoft site (for example Outlook.com or account.microsoft.com).
      • If sign-in fails there, follow the account recovery steps below first.
    2. Recover or fix the Microsoft account
      • If the password is forgotten, use the "Reset your password" flow: see Reset your password in the "Recover lost access to your Microsoft account" section.
      • If the password is known but stopped working, use the Sign-in Helper tool to diagnose and fix sign-in issues.
      • If the email/username might be wrong, use Look up your Microsoft account.
      • If verification codes are not received, follow the troubleshoot Microsoft account verification code issues article.
    3. Use the Sign-in Helper when the account is not recognized
      • If messages like "We couldn't find an account with that username" or "account doesn't exist" appear, run the Sign-in Helper tool from the "Steps to recover your Microsoft account" section.
    4. Check if the account may have been deleted
      • If the account has not been used for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened. In that case, create and use a new Microsoft account for Minecraft.
    5. Try signing in to Minecraft again
      • After fixing the Microsoft account (password reset, recovery, or verification method update), reopen Minecraft and sign in with the same Microsoft account that now works in the browser.

If the error persists even though the account works everywhere else, use the Sign-in Helper tool again to check for additional account-side issues.
