The "pin" button is missing from the download history list. Where is it, how do I get it back.

This is an important regression in workflow, for those that download 10 pdfs at a time and then open them all in the browser.

My personal observation has been Edge for Business is missing the push pin, while "regular" Edge has it. Updated Edge for Business today to Version 145.0.3800.82 (Official build) (64-bit) and its still missing push pin, so seems "by design" by some progammer who does not use Edge ;)

Edge update today to 147.0.3912.98 has (finally) fixed it for me :-)

NOT AN ANSWER: STILL AN ISSUE (AGAIN)

Down again one some user profiles but not all. I have now gone as far as disconnecting the user profile from Edge, reset edge, cleared out the edge user data completely (killing edge to do this), repaired edge and rebooting - this appears to fix it, but after a few minutes it reverts to the issue with losing the pin that allows you to keep the downloads list on the right hand side:

as opposed to what it should be (with the pin to right hand side):

I have also gone through the process of saving my favourites but resetting everything else, delete the cloud sync'd data for Edge and then tried the above to clear it all down and then re-setup the profile pretty much from scratch and, like above, it does exactly the same - starting OK but then reverting to have the pin disappeared.

Is this going to get fixed by Microsoft? I have repeatedly reported the issue using Edge feedback and the Feedback Hub, but still not fixed :-(

Confirmed back on 1.28.26, Version 144.0.3719.92 (Official build) (64-bit). Required a reboot. On both my x64 and ARM machines.

It was fixed for a few days, and this has now happened on one of my machines AGAIN ..... grrrrrrrr

All on 144.0.3719.104 (Official build) (64-bit).

Have tried repairing Edge and still gone. Often after the repair and reboot, the pin show on first time opened, and then disappears on next open! Looks like something else Edge-related is starting up in the background and causing this issue.

You may pin Downloads on toolbar by following steps:
- Settings (•••) > Downloads > ••• on Downloads window > Show in toolbar.
- Open Settings > Appearance > Toolbar > toggle Downloads to enable.
- Use the combination Ctrl + J.
Ctrl + J is an easy combination and very convenient to use, you don't need to pin Downloads on Toolbar to use it.

Hello,

That is not what is needed. In the past, when you download a file, the download tab would pin to the left hand side of the toolbar. You can change webpages, and click, and it would still remain. This feature is gone, and it is now like Google Chrome where if you click on something else, the download dropdown disappears.

That doesn't answer the issue at hand. Please read the concern more closely.

You are unable to pin Downloads to the right pane in the just-released version. See below - previously there was a thumbtack icon.

Ctrl + J is a good workaround and very convenient to use. It's the same as you hover your mouse over the Downloads button and click it.

No, Ctrl+J is not an acceptable workaround - try downloading and then opening multiple PDFs.

One should not need to workaround a regression in function.

I want the ability to pin the download window, not just pop it up restored to its original behavior. Microsoft, please fix this ASAP.

My problem is not having the downloads pinned to my toolbar (It is there), it is that when I downloaded before the download pane was pinned to the right side of my screen. Now the downloads pane is in the middle of the screen and block everything. There is no pin button to move it and no way to manually move it, there isn't even a close button to close it, I just have to click off the pane to close it

@microsoft: The floating download bar disappears too frequently. It gets annoying to constantly press CTRL-J. Having a persistent download bar made Microsoft Edge a professional tool. Please consider reinstating this.

This is not the problem. Downloads can be pinned to top bar but only the popup version. The pin to allow downloads to be pinned to edge of screen like favourites, history and collections has gone! Please look at the screenshot earlier showing what is expected - the pin has disappeared.
