Regarding email - if the domain associated with our email is on hold, will we receive the emails that come through once the domain is active again?

Our domain currently on hold. Once we resolve the issue and the domain becomes active again,

will the emails received whilst the domain was on hold come through, or would they be lost?

Hello,

Usually no. Sending mail servers try to deliver, get errors (typically would be no MX record, domain not found, mailbox unavailable, etc), then retry for a limited time (usually around 1 to 3 days, sometimes up to about 5).

If delivery still fails after that retry window, the sender’s server bounces the message back to the sender.

If your domain is on hold, emails sent to that domain during the hold period will not be delivered and will be lost. Once the domain becomes active again, it will not receive any emails that were sent while it was inactive. To avoid losing emails, it's important to resolve the issues causing the hold as quickly as possible.
