I recently got a new Lenovo laptop and had not issues setting it up a week ago today I turned it on to start to move the files from old laptop to new one. I got that blue bitlocker screen I went to the site to get the key and I entered my email but did not not the pin/or had security key so entered my email and it wants to send me a 6 digit code to my email I used to create my account (same email I have had for years). I hit the email code and enter my email and the screen pops up asking for the code h check my email no new email no new codes. So i sent it to my other similar MSN email again no email and no codes I am locked out of my new laptop till I get that key.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Did you check your Junk or Spam email folders to see if the verification email from Microsoft ended up there?

If not, try using a different browser or a different Wi‑Fi network and send the verification code again. If you're still unable to receive the code, it's possible that your account is temporarily blocked. I recommend submitting the account reinstatement form directly to the Microsoft account Digital Safety team so they can help reinstate your account if possible.

When you fill out the form, make sure you select "I am not receiving the provided code" as the issue.

Please note that if you're unable to find the BitLocker recovery key, you will not be able to unlock the drive. In that case, you'll need to create a bootable USB installation media and use it to reinstall Windows. This process will completely erase all data on your hard drive (HDD).

If you are unable to get past the BitLocker screen on your new Lenovo laptop, you will need to retrieve your BitLocker recovery key. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check for Recovery Key: The recovery key can be saved in several places. Check if you have saved it to your Microsoft account, printed it, or stored it on a USB drive. If you have access to another device, you can try logging into your Microsoft account at https://myaccount.microsoft.com to see if the recovery key is available under the Devices tab.
    2. Email Issues: If you are not receiving the 6-digit code to your email, ensure that you are checking the correct inbox and that there are no filters or blocks preventing the email from arriving. Sometimes, emails can be delayed or go to the spam/junk folder.
    3. Alternative Recovery: If you cannot retrieve the recovery key through your email, you might need to contact your IT department or the helpdesk if this is a work device. They may have procedures in place to assist you in recovering your key.
    4. Self-Service Portal: If your organization has set up a BitLocker self-service portal, you may be able to retrieve the recovery key directly from there. You would need to follow the instructions provided by your organization to access this portal.

If you continue to have issues, you may need to consider reaching out to Lenovo support or Microsoft support for further assistance.
