I have historical folder, old folders, memories and now, thanks to that trash program other there all my documents say today date, so thank you Microsoft, just prove other alternatives is better.

Can someone help me? Maybe maybe I can do something about it.

Hi,

I understand why this bothers you. It looks like OneDrive sees folders as fresh stuff when it re-uploads or re-indexes things. So, the Modified Date on your folders changes to when it synced, which stinks. The great part is your files inside should still have their old dates, so your document history is probably alright. double-check by opening a few files to confirm their timestamps.

If those folder dates really matter to your work, you could try pausing OneDrive, restoring from a backup (if you got one), or using File History to get those folder dates back.

Are the dates on your actual files also changed, or is it just the folders? Also, are you syncing to OneDrive for the first time, or did this start after a recent update?

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with OneDrive affecting the last modified dates of your files. Unfortunately, OneDrive can sometimes cause unexpected changes to file metadata, including modification dates, especially during sync operations. Here are a few steps you can take to address the issue:

    1. Check for Sync Conflicts: Sometimes, conflicts during syncing can lead to changes in file properties. Make sure to check if there are any sync conflicts reported by OneDrive.
    2. Restore Previous Versions: If you have File History or another backup solution enabled, you may be able to restore previous versions of your files. Right-click on the file or folder, select "Properties," and then check the "Previous Versions" tab.
    3. Contact Support: If the issue persists and you cannot restore your files, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They may be able to help you recover the original modification dates or troubleshoot the syncing issue further.
    4. Prevent Future Issues: To avoid similar problems in the future, ensure that your OneDrive is updated to the latest version and regularly check for any known issues with syncing.

While these steps may not fully resolve the issue, they can help you manage and recover your files more effectively.
