If you are able to log in but cannot retrieve new emails, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Outlook on the Web: Sign in to your Outlook on the web account to see if new emails are appearing there. This can help determine if the issue is with the Outlook app on your device.
    2. Run Support and Recovery Assistant: Download and run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. This tool can diagnose and fix many common issues affecting Outlook and Microsoft 365 accounts. It can help identify problems related to your email account or the Outlook application itself.
    3. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Outlook app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, outdated versions can cause issues with email retrieval.
    4. Check Account Settings: Verify your account settings in the Outlook app to ensure they are configured correctly.
    5. Network Connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection, as connectivity issues can prevent emails from being retrieved.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

Hello MELDA Barragan, thanks for posting this in our community.

First, make sure you have a stable internet connection. You can test this by opening a website or running ping outlook.office365.com in Command Prompt.

If you’re using the Outlook Desktop App, close Outlook, then navigate to %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook and delete the .ost files. These will rebuild automatically when you restart Outlook. If you’re using Outlook Web App (OWA), clear your browser cache or try accessing your mailbox in InPrivate/Incognito mode.

Next, verify your account settings in Outlook. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings and confirm that your account is listed and shows as Connected. If it’s disconnected, click Repair and follow the prompts.

Check your sync settings by going to File > Options > Advanced > Send/Receive. Make sure your account is included in the group and set to auto-send/receive.

Try logging in on another device using Outlook Web App or the mobile app. If emails appear there, the issue is likely with your Outlook client.

If the problem persists, recreate your Outlook profile. Open Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles, create a new profile, and add your account again.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
