Hello John Anderson, thanks for posting this in our community.
First, log in to Comcast Webmail to confirm your username and password are correct. If you recently changed your password, make sure to update it in Outlook as well.
Next, enable “Allow Access” in Comcast Security. Go to Comcast Email Settings under Security and enable Third-Party Access, sometimes called “Allow apps that use less secure sign-in.” If you have Two-Step Verification enabled, generate an App Password for Outlook.
Check your account settings in Outlook. Comcast uses IMAP for email, and IMAP is recommended. Here are the settings: Incoming Mail Server Name: imap.comcast.net Incoming Mail Port: 993 with SSL Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.comcast.net Port 587
Update your Outlook settings by going to File, then Account Settings, then Manage Profiles, Email Accounts, and Change Settings.
If the issue persists, update Outlook to the latest version. Clear the Outlook credential cache by going to Control Panel, then Credential Manager, then Windows Credentials, and remove any Comcast entries. Restart Outlook and re-enter your credentials.
Kind regards,
John Oli
