If your iPad is not printing a Microsoft Word file after uninstalling the app and restarting the device, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad.
    2. Reinstall Microsoft Word: Sometimes, reinstalling the app can resolve printing issues. Uninstall Microsoft Word again and then reinstall it from the App Store.
    3. Update iOS and Apps: Make sure your iPad's iOS and the Microsoft Word app are updated to the latest versions.
    4. Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    5. Try Printing from Another App: Test printing from a different app to see if the issue is specific to Microsoft Word.
    6. Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings on your iPad are configured correctly for printing documents.
    7. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support or your printer's manufacturer for further assistance.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the printing issue on your iPad.

Hi , Thank you for reaching out! My name is Stefano and it’s my pleasure to assist you today.

Is your iPad running the last firmware update, i.e. 26.1 ?

Are you trying to print World files, through iPad native apps or third parties ones ?

Besides, have you installed the latest iPad Ms Word App, i.e. 2.103.1 ?

Have you updated your AirPrint printer firmware to the latest one too ?

Jumping in as well - school district IT and we have a couple thousand iPads on 16, 17, 18 and 26. In all cases iPads where Word has updated to 2.103.1 the Print button in the menu does not work. If you happen to have a keyboard attached to the iPad (our staff users have the keyboard) you can use Command-P to print.

This is definitely a Microsoft bug in MS Word 2.103.1 for iPad, nothing to do with iPadOS version, printer firmware, etc.

Ok this is a ms word issue with the latest update so to get over it for now connect a Bluetooth keyboard and use the command p option this will then allow you to print

I'm experiencing the same problem with my iOS devices.

Soon Microsoft will release a new Word app version, fully supporting the new iOS 26.1 upgrades.

For now, you could use the Share feature > Send a copy

You may share your docx files through Airdrop, Mail, Whatsapp, etc.

Now the Apple Printer Spool should properly work

I suggest you leave a product feedback to Microsoft, developers will that way release a fix.

Open the Word app > tap the three dots located on the top right corner > tap Help & Feedback > Tell Us What Can Be Better
