Hi, I understand how this can affect your workflow, so let’s get this sorted out.

The reason it keeps defaulting to your old email is that Microsoft 365 still recognizes that account as the primary sign-in, either through cached credentials or because it’s set as the main alias on your Microsoft account.

To fix this, start by removing the old account from your Office apps under File then go to Account, then check your system settings under Email & accounts to make sure the new email is added and the old one is removed.

Next, go to account.microsoft.com and confirm your new email is set as the primary alias.

If you’ve done all that and it still defaults to the old one, have you cleared the saved credentials in Credential Manager or signed out everywhere from your Microsoft account?

Let me know if you’re on Windows or macOS so I can give you the exact steps for your setup.

    Regards,

    Aron
