Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear @PAK,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding the issue of you being unable to sign in to your new Microsoft 365 Business Standard account, I need to clarify one important point:
Does the email address that Microsoft provided to you have the domain extension @onmicrosoft.com?
If the answer is yes, the issue may be related to the Tenant (business account) not being fully provisioned yet, or the provisioning process failed during the purchase. This is a high-level technical issue.
In this scenario, because you are the sole administrator and cannot access the Admin Center, the only team that can securely verify your identity and help you regain access is Microsoft's Data Protection Team.
Option 1: You must contact the Data Protection Team via Microsoft's customer service phone number. You can find the support number here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support (Look for the support number for Microsoft 365 Business in your region).
The biggest goal is to get past the IVR (automated system) to a live agent and emphasize this critically important security factor. Please try to speak loudly, clearly, and patiently wait for the machine to respond.
Request the agent to create a ticket under your affected tenant and then transfer this ticket to the Data Protection Team. This team is the only one equipped to help you verify access for the global administrator account.
Option 2: If you still cannot reach an agent, there is still a workaround: you might consider registering for a new tenant by signing up for a trial subscription via this link: Compare All Microsoft 365 Plans | Microsoft. This would allow you to create a trial tenant following the provided prompts. Once set up, you can access the Admin Console of the trial tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with Data Protection Team on behalf of your previous tenant.
Note: Please remember to cancel the trial subscription once your issue is resolved to avoid any unintended charges.
As a moderator, I do not have the tools to deep dive into your account. This is because Microsoft's data security protocols are very strict, and only the Data Protection Team is equipped with the necessary tools to investigate your specific tenant.
I understand that this issue is making you feel confused and frustrated. Being locked out of a new business account is a very unpleasant experience.
Since you've already had trouble with the previous account, I understand that you might not want to create another trial tenant. Therefore, I recommend that you try making the support phone call first as per the instructions I provided. This is the fastest way for the Data Protection Team to verify your identity and restore your account. Please be a little patient during the call!
If the phone call is still not feasible or unsuccessful, please remain calm and take your time when creating a new trial tenant, should you decide to go with that option, to ensure that the registration process goes as smoothly as possible.
If any step is unclear, or you get stuck - even a little - please reply and I’ll guide you through it.
Looking forward to your response!
