- Is your account a personal account (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail) or a work/school account (typically associated with a domain name like your company or school)?
- Could you describe what you were doing before encountering this error?
- Which Office app shows this error (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)?
- Did this start after a Windows or Office update?
- Does it happen to other users as well?

Also, here are a few steps you can try:
- Sign out and back in
- Open any Office app (like Word or Excel).
- Go to File > Account.

- Close all Office applications then restart your computer.
- Open an Office app again and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials to see if the issue is fixed.
2. Clear Office's Cache
- Close all Office applications.
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type %appdata%\Microsoft and press Enter.
-
- Find contents of these folders:
- %localappdata%\Microsoft\IdentityCache
- %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneAuth
- Delete both of these folders.
- Restart your computer and try signing in to Office again.
3. Repair Office
If the issue is with the application itself, try repairing to see if it fixes the issue
