We have created an invite for Microsoft group with 500+ members and disabled the forwarding. We had a request to add new members. I have added the members and select send update only to new members added. As soon as I did that, the invite got cancelled. We need to know alternate solution of forwarding an invite when the meeting is disabled.

    Hi @Sneha Gawali,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

The issue you're experiencing is a known behavior in Microsoft Outlook. When adding new members to a meeting with over 500 attendees and selecting "Send update only to added or removed attendees", Outlook may automatically cancel the invitation for existing members. This happens due to limitations in how Outlook handles large attendee lists.

Could you confirm if this issue occurred on Outlook Web? If not, as a temporary workaround, you might consider using Outlook Web instead.

Alternatively, you might also consider using a Distribution Group. Instead of adding individual members to the meeting, you can:

    1. Create a Distribution List that includes all intended participants.
    2. Send the meeting invitation to the Distribution List.
    3. When new members need to be added:
    • Add them to the Distribution List first.
    • Then send the meeting update to the entire list.

Since a Distribution List counts as a single recipient, it helps avoid exceeding Outlook’s limits.

    For your reference:

Please let me know if you have any updates or need further assistance. I'm happy to help!
