Hello,

I've been using Onedrive on macOs Monterey 12.7.
Today the app stopped working and it says i need to upgrade to macOS 13.
How do I fix this? I cant open onedrive and I cant update to macOS 13 with my hardware system.

Thanks

Hi maarten_780,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It is an unfortunate fact that the new version of OneDrive for Mac only supports macOS 13 and newer version, but you can consider downloading an old version of OneDrive for Mac to see how it works.

First, please uninstall the OneDrive app on your Mac

And click here to download:

https://oneclient.sfx.ms/Mac/Installers/24.151.0728.0003/universal/OneDrive.pkg

The number 24.151.0728.0003, which stands for the OneDrive version number, was released in August 2024, so you can download it first to see if you can install it.

If that doesn't work, consider downloading an earlier version by replacing 24.151.0728.0003 in the link above with the version number you see in the release notes below.

Looking forward to any feedback you may have.

Best regards,

It's not a proper solution. The older version gets updated everytime. I had to reinstall over and over every day.

So after a while, i gave up and just worked offline.
But today, after a system reboot, the entire onedrive folder was removed. It's just gone. No files, nothing. I have now lost all files since the last sync weeks ago.

    Thanks Ian.

Clearly you either know Onedrive releases very very well, or you took the time to check the last release compatible with MacOS Monterey 12.7. I had the same problem as Maarten_780 and your response sent me directly to the Onedrive installer that works.

Apple Inc is now back in direct competition with MS and so does not collaborate as much as they used to when Macs were on the Intel platform.

I know I will have to upgrade my Mac HW at some point, but it works perfectly well now, so I will keep on using it until a key piece of SW (like Onedrive) is no longer available.

This is why your answer was v help.
