I have an issue where I renewed my Microsoft 365 Family 2 weeks ago and my onedrive show a total capacity of 5GB instead of 1TB.
I am not able to sync any files from my PC or mobile towards onedrive.
I have contacted microsoft support and reset onedrive, unliked/relinked, uninstalled and reinstalled. Microsoft support is not very responsive so hoping someone can assist here.

This answer is nonsense and asks you to do many different actions which have literally nothing to do with fixing the problem in the original post. The correct answer to this problem is to turn of automatic billing renewal for the Microsoft Family subscription, and then turn it back on again. This re-provisions all the benefits for all the members of the family and instantly fixed the OneDrive storage quota issue for me.
Solution was to disable auto-renewal on my subscription. After I did that all devices got the correct storage amount of 1 TB.
Signing in and out, and messing around with local pc accounts did not work.
I agree with EmisAngel, our family subscription had expired due to out of date payment card. When we re-subscribed, all the family members lost their OneDrive quotas and OneDrive was reporting they had only 5GB of quota (it should be 1TB for M365 Family members).
We found the correct solution by ErmisAngel above and also by Karl Timmermans in this support thread for the same issue.
My wife, who is the subscription owner went to https://account.microsoft.com and then clicked to 'manage' her M365 Family Subscription.
She then turned off automatic renewal for the subscription (you have to ignore the attempts to get you to downgrade to a lower subscription and click on the scary sounding "I don't want to keep my benefits" button at the bottom of the page). She then clicked on the 'Turn on automatic renewal' button.
This seemed to force all the benefits of the subscription to be re-applied to all the family members. Everyone saw their OneDrive quota instantly change from 5GB to 1TB as expected. :-)
Yes exactly, I agree 100% with ErmisAngel ! ;-)
The only solution to this problem is to disable and re-enable recurring billing on the main account of this subscription.
After disabling, immediately the rest of the users of the 365 Family subscription, received 1GB for OneDrive!
Additionally, when re-enabling recurring billing (monthly), I received 1 month for free!
Thanks for this very good solution! :-)
