Hello, I tried using excel yesterday night for a class and noticed i couldnt access it. said something about officeclicktorun.exe bad image and gave a 0xc000012f error code. I tried uninstalling office 365 to redownload it and struggled for hours to get the microsoft support program to do it. i finally got it to say it was successful and then tried reinstalling and got an error saying it couldnt install it. i had also tried installing it by downloading the package from my online microsoft account and got the same original error. tried “sfc /scannow” and “dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth” in the cmd prompt and the only one that finished successfully was the scannow, but it didnt do anything. used HP Support Assistant to install updated bios and quite a few other optional updates. restarted and hard restarted. nothing seems to work. I tried HP image assistant but apparently there is no image for an HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0032dx. I dont know what to do but my office 365 and apps disappeared and they are for sure gone now and i cant reinstall them. anyone seen this before or can help?

For anyone else having this issue in the future. I’m an IT Engineer Assistant so I asked some of my colleagues that has a lot more experience than I do and one was able to help. He found the below Microsoft forum question and the fix the guy provided fixed this issue.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/dll-files-missing-after-windows-11-update/d9b03703-4c1b-48b1-9707-22eddfc2c637

Ended up needing to redownload MS Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-19, or 2022 and it finally let me reinstall microsoft 365. Just make sure to go into the task manager on your pc and stop the OfficeSetup if you started it before downloading this fix as it wont run again until the other run is stopped.
