I had the same issue. It started when I was required to change my Microsoft password.

Since then, I had logged onto my computer using my PIN and started to get the above-mentioned error.

RESOLUTION: Logout, then login using the Microsoft password, not the computer PIN.

    Hi! Spencer John,

Thank you for your reply! Please press Win+E to open Explorer, type in the address bar "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" then cut and paste the hosts file to the desktop, then restart your computer to see if the problem still exists.

    Hi! Sunita Bacchus,

    Thank you for your reply!

For now I would suggest you try the following method of modifying your network environment and see if that works:

    1. Please try to change the current network of your computer (e.g. open your cell phone hotspot and connect your computer to the cell phone hotspot and try to enter the App access page again)2. Change DNSPress the Win logo key + R and type ncpa.cpl.Click on the name of the network you are currently connected to, open the Network Status window, click Properties, and then double-click Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window.Manually set the DNS servers to “4.2.2.1” and “4.2.2.2” and restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.3.Reset network settingsPress Win logo key + R key, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced, and check “Use SSL 3.0”, “Use TLS 1.0”, “Use TLS 1.1”, “Use TLS 1.2”, reboot the computer after applying them to see if the problem can be solved.4.Reset Proxy Server SettingsPress Win logo + R key, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connections, click LAN Settings, check whether the Proxy Server column is checked, if so, uncheck it and click OK, restart your computer after applying it to see if it can solve the problem.5. Reset Network SettingsPress the Win logo key + Q key to open the search box, search for CMD, open and find the Command Prompt (, to run in administrator) mode > In the command box that pops up, enter the following commands in turn (after each line is finished, enter the next one)ipconfig /releaseipconfig /renewipconfig /flushdnsipconfig /registerdnsnetsh int ip resetnetsh winsock resetnetsh winhttp reset proxyRestart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.6.Clear the Host file (please back it up so that it can be restored in time in case of accidents) Locate: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc to find the hosts file cut to the desktop (that is, clear the operation of the host), and then see how the effect. Thank you for your understanding and patience.Best RegardsEddy | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

    Dear Spencer John,

    Thank you for your reply!

In order to be able to investigate your issue further, could you please provide a detailed screenshot of the error message here?

Based on the information you have provided so far, it appears that your issue is related to the Microsoft Office application itself. At this time I would recommend that you try performing an online fix for the Microsoft Office application to see if that resolves this issue

    a. Please right-click on the bottom left corner ("Start" button, which is the Windows logo), and then select "Installed Applications" in the pop-up menu.

    b. Select the Microsoft Office product you want to repair, click the ellipsis, and then select "Modify/Modify". (If modifying only Word and Excel doesn't work, please repair the whole Office.)

    c. Depending on the type of Office installation (point-and-click or MSI-based), you will see Quick repair and Online repair. Please choose Online Repair.

For detailed instructions on online repair, please refer to the link: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

I understand that the above methods may be cumbersome for you. Although they may not solve your problem immediately, but they can help us get closer to the root cause of the problem and serve as a reference for whether we need to take the next step.

Therefore, I sincerely invite you to try the above methods and provide me with the results in the form of a reply, so that I can provide you with more appropriate help according to the actual situation. Thank you for your understanding and patience and I look forward to hearing from you.Best RegardsEddy | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
