Microsoft One Drive not syncing to Android phone.

There's a OneDrive file I updated with some important changes on my laptop. I assumed that the corresponding file on my Android Phone would automatically change but this does not seem to be happening.

Previously I was using a desktop PC running Windows 10 but now I am using Windows 365. This automatically put all my documents and pictures on the Android OneDrive app. But now it doesn't seem to be syncing. What's the fix?

Hi,

I'm Sneha and I'd be happy to help you out with your question. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

There are several things you can try to resolve the syncing issue with Microsoft OneDrive on your Android phone:

  1. Check your Internet connection: Make sure your phone is connected to the internet, as OneDrive needs an active internet connection to sync.
  2. Check OneDrive settings: Make sure that OneDrive is set to automatically sync files in the app settings. To check this, open the OneDrive app on your Android phone, tap on the three-dot menu icon, and then select Settings > Camera upload. Make sure that the toggle switch next to "Camera upload" is turned on.
  3. Restart OneDrive: Force close the OneDrive app and then reopen it. To do this, go to your Android phone's app switcher, swipe up on the OneDrive app to close it, and then reopen the app.
  4. Clear OneDrive cache: Clearing the cache of the OneDrive app may help resolve syncing issues. To do this, go to your Android phone's Settings app, select Apps & notifications, and then find and tap on OneDrive. In the OneDrive app settings, tap on Storage & cache, and then tap on Clear cache.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OneDrive: If the above steps do not work, try uninstalling the OneDrive app from your Android phone and then reinstalling it from the Google Play Store.
  6. Check for updates: Make sure that both your Windows 365 and OneDrive apps are up to date. If there is an update available, download and install it.
  7. Check OneDrive online: Check if the changes you made to the file on your laptop have synced to the OneDrive online version. If they have, then the issue may be with the OneDrive app on your Android phone.

If you have any other questions or need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to let me know. It will be my pleasure to Assist you.

Best Regards, Sneha

Having a problem with One Drive and newer Samsung Galaxy S23 phone, that just started recently. Getting message that one drive is full and cannot receive or send emails. Deleting files does nothing, because it syncs and loads more pictures whenever we delete them. Do no want all the pictures on one drive that are on the phone....no need to save them there. I unlinked One Drive on the PC but cannot do it on the Samsung phone. Have read numerous online articles but none show directions that will work on this phone. Please respond to ******@gmail.com as the ******@hotmail.com email is not working for this issue.
